Traffic prioritisation question

Hi all

I am thinking about moving from Plusnet to ADSL24 (Home 30 or Office 45).

The one reservation I have is that ADSL24 claim to have no "traffic throttling". In some circumstances, traffic management is a good thing, such as to prioritise voice traffic. This is important to me as I use Skype a lot. Currently, my Skype calls are always perfect due (at least in part) to Plusnet's management system.

Can anyone confirm whether Skype traffic is prioritised by ADSL24?

Traffic is not prioritised for Skype but with our low latency links (20-30ms ping within UK, 30-50 for Europe etc) and the fact that we do not throttle any ports means your VoIP applications or services will work without a hitch. We have many people, myself included who use VoIP on a day to day basis and we have yet to have any reported issues.

Actually almost all of my Skype usage is to the USA.

You still should be fine. Not had any issues reported at all regarding Skype
