View Full Version : Enta Users CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS!!
Just noticed today that Enta billed us 5 x £18.99 for August.
Rang the accounts and they said there was a computer problem that caused around 1000 customers to get duplicate invoices and payments.
We noticed 4 x payments for one day on the 6th August and checking with our bank another payment is going out today, making it that they have billed us 5 times....!!!:o:o
Was told that Enta are slowly working through the list of customers to correct this and that anyone that rings will have it sorted within a day or two.
As this was a known problem I am disgusted that they haven't informed us of it and asked us to check etc.
I suggest you all check with your bank if you as we did received 5 x emails saying payment had been taken, we pay by continuous card payment and not direct debit.

When was your billing date?
Mine isnt till the end of the month so should be ok
Our billing date was today the 12th, which one payment is going through as we speak, they also took 4 payments of £18.99 on the 6th August which is not our normal billing date, so if I was you I would check your emails / billing section on Enta's website which will show you the invoices for each month and or your bank.....
Its possible depending when the computer problem happened that they billed you more than once last month.....

Nothing on my statements and no emails. Hopefully i have escaped. 100 customers out of the total Enta have (not just adsl24's customers) is very small anyway
Did you get 5 invoice's on your enta billing page?
its not 100 affected customers its around 1000

In short....yes
Not a word from Enta yet (no surprise), looking in their billing section they have removed 4 x invoices to make it correct..........wait for it.........
Got another email today to say will be billed again on Aug 18th and that invoice now appears in the statements for August on Enta's site, so looks like they corrected it and then billed us again......
Thick or what...........

Hmm, weird - just browsing my statements - Looks like Enta have forgot to bill me since March and are now charging me for 5 months in one go (~£95).
Not a huge problem, (the total seems to work out correctly for the months I've not paid for) but going to keep an close eye on them now.
In the end managed to get things sorted, on Enta billing site its still says we have been billed 2 x for August, checked with bank and all is now fine, Enta tell us its a technical error on their site showing us being billed twice........not confusing at all.....:s:s:s:s
Our bank has confirmed that Enta have paid us back what they owed us.....

I've decided to call it day on Enta and switch to LLU - I'll be paying an extra £10 per month (including a new static ip) but with the billing issue, and the minor outages etc probably time to move on (the August offer helped a bit as well :)
