Hi folks,

we had a number of reports coming through regarding slow speeds yesterday (Tue 1st May). It appears that this was due to an inbalance in traffic over Enta's pipes. See here: http://noc.enta.net

Hopefully we will see an improvement today and return to the usual speed we are used to:)

Thanks for those of you who opened a ticket through the help desk regarding the slower speeds. This remains the primary way of contacting us and allows us to quickly discern the bigger picture.

Please also note this will have affected ping times, traceroutes and speed test results so if things where bad yesterday then the above post probably explains it.

Some people also reported getting a BT Wholesale screen when they tried to access a website. This was due to some routing work BT/Enta were rebalancing traffic so some users may have got stuck.

Hi guys, are there any reports of a similar problem tonight?

Just asking as performance is very poor tonight. I'm on Central 4 and it's crawling at around 1500kbps.

Edit -Performance has gone up suddenly to 4000 kbps, seems unstable

Could be contention at your exchange too I guess. Let us know how it goes. As more people come on/offline it's bound to vary

Powered router off and on again, now on Central 1 (Nutmeg). Pages are loading much faster now - no 30 second delay loading pages!
