Here's info from my Netgear DG834G..I'm not entirely sure if this is the right information:o

I am 6.5km as the birdie flies from my exchange...and it's more by road.:eek:

Is my half meg fixed as good as I'm going to get? I started off on my 'go live' day at 2meg and router wouldn't sync at all....not even for a second. Got adjusted later in the day to 0.5. No chance of 1 meg?

The downstream noise margin was a tad higher before...maybe 6db or 7db.

I'm happy enough, but faster would be lurvely:cool:

As your SNR is 6 or below, you are unlikely to be able to receive any faster speeds

But the bar graph makes me sad..lol;) There's me, a tiny green block at the bottom, and it seems that everyone one else is all away up there in the oranges and reds, blazing through cyberspace...:D :D

Yea...I should be a thankful person:o ...there's neighbours up the road from me who cannot gets adsl at all. They have tried but no luck at all.

Before I got the Netgear, I was using one of those free usb thomson speedtouch thingys....some days I had a connection, and days I hadn't.

A combination of a nice DG834g and a master filter/splitter in my master socket made all the difference in the world.:D

Yea..goat skin tents...nasty in the winter. There's a breeze that whistles through here in winter and blows the pages out of my printer....:p :p
