Turning my modem off?

I assume that since LLU is free of all profile issues that its OK to turn my modem off when it's not in use, e.g. whilst I'm at work all day?

Correct, do as you need :)

The only think to note is that routers themselves do not like being off and on all the time so from a working point of view you may find that it doesn't last as long going forward.
