Hi,

So i've just signed up to the Home 30 non-LLU package with ADSL24. This will be the first service I've used where I don't get a modem/router sent out as part of the package, which i'm fine with, except I've never set one up before that hasn't had all the settings preset.

I've had a look through the FAQs at the settings I have to use. Is it that easy? :s or do I need to be more tech savvy than I might think? Also, do I have to buy the router from the ADSL store or will any router do, and if so any suggestions on a good model - esp. in term of how easy it is to set up!

Thanks very much,

Patricia.

It's pretty easy, but if you don't already own an ADSL router, and you do buy one from the ADSL24 Store, it will come pre-configured with all you need to get on-line.

Hi Jaggies, thanks for the info!

I have to admit i'm in two minds about getting one off the ADSL24 site...just because they're a teensy bit more expensive than I could get elsewhere (I feel guilty for even saying that!), hence why I was wondering if it was easy to set them up! :)
