Just a quick question
all over the weekend ive been only able to get a speed of 230 Kb/s tops but my test results are

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 832 kbps(UP-STREAM) 4832 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1746 kbps

and Ive deffo had a little faster speed

I assume this is probably a stuck profile and I know I will need to raise a ticket with adsl24

what I would like to know is what BT actually do when its a stuck profile
Do they have to visit your premises/exchange or is it done remotely by some computer somewhere ?

would be interested to find out

In this case it's not a stuck profile, as your profile is 4000 which is right for your modem sync speed of 4832.

Did you reboot the router at all as this may have enabled you to get faster speeds by being put on a different gateway/pipe that is less busy?

Or to save re-booting router just unplug phone line to router and plug it back in after a couple of seconds,

Oh yeah its not stuck

still not seeing faster speed than what I quoted in the first post

been like it since around 6pm last night

have rebooted then factory reset router no joy

Ive killed my PPP sessions a few times and connected to different gateway/pipe but still no increase

will see what happens over the next few days

thanks for the replies guys
