Has gone down from 7150 to 5500 and SYNC has dropped from 8128 to 6240,,,Ive turned router off for half hour and still no change,,,is this why speeds are so slow for me?

Could have a fault on your line, raise a ticket.
But i would try re-syncing your router at an offpeak time, try it at 4am. I'm serious btw.

Remember also that turning off & re-booting your router can cause your sync/profile to drop as the BT system at the exchange thinks you are losing connection, thus meaning they will drop your profile to compensate for any drop-outs in connection to stabilise your line.
You still may have line issue however, but even the weather, can & does affect line stability too.

My IP profile and sync rates have also dropped markedly over the last couple of weeks. Up until they dropped, they'd been stable since the summer.
I've raised a ticket, but my BT speedtest result of about 4300kbps is deemed to be perfectly OK by ADSL tech staff. It's not OK to me as I was routinely getting 5300kbps seven days a week on an IP profile of 6000 before all the ALT crap and general appalling speeds across the network which most of us seem to be suffering from.
