I was just wondering why ADSL24 has changed the way their packages are accessed on the home page.
I don't understand why you are obliged to have to enter personal info in order to see what is on offer before being able to view them.
Of course have this system somewhere later on so as to show the potential new customer the options available but, not as a condition of viewing the general package offers.
It seems a bit non-open to me!

I assume it's because ADSL24 now offer various different products and customers were getting confused since some are only available in certain places.

I agree though it is kinda annoying, it would be nice to even have a small link below the enter phone number/postcode box saying something along the lines of "to view all our packages click here (please note some are only available in certain areas)".

Exactly.

A postcode or telephone number is in no way personal - we don't log it, can't do anything with it, and wouldn't even want to anyway as we're not like that.

As Reines says, with all the packages we now offer it's impossible to actually show them all in the old way like before. We got so many queries from people who saw all the packages (Home, Office, Premium, LLU, C&W LLU, Bonded etc) but didn't know what they could actually receive it was getting messy. What we've done now is developed a page that does a live check to see exactly what you can receive.

I have added a link to show all packages without entering any information for those who require that.

James the 'View Packages' button is displaying in an odd location on Firefox 3.5.5 now.

:edit:

Have just checked with Safari & Opera and its displaying fine, just not with firefox, also you could probably have a slightly shorter field for the phone number ;)

and which supplier is the Premium Home package with? is that the Tiscalli tails one?

I think it keeps it more simple for people to see without entering info.
At least James, you are proactive with us and I appreciate that kind of attitude.
