View Full Version : ADSL24 Billing - Security Certificate Expired [RESOLVED]
Hi,
Clicked on the link in the adsl24 email to add my credit card details before changeover and I get a warning about the security certificate expired or not yet valid. Also the same with the adsl24 account log in page. I know it's probably OK but sometimes it pays to be suspicious. Anybody else getting the same?

Yep. It means someone at adsl24 hasnt renewed the certificate!
Just used my 'bookmark' to get to my account as I've done countless times before and this WARNING ! came up.......
"This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to adsl24.co.uk, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure".
Anybody know whats going on????
Got here via Google

Well im not putting in my DD details till this is sorted.
Well im not putting in my DD details till this is sorted.
It's fine, still encrypted it's just the SSL certificate needs to get validated, probably be fixed tomorrow morning/afternoon by James or the web admin who manages the WHMCS system.
Should have been taken care of. It was originally set up 4 years ago when we used different email addresses, so didn't get any expiry notice :(
Fixing as we speak.

So as to not open a ticket can i confirm if i put my DD details in now when exactly will they take payment considering it hasnt been a month yet since i paid my first payment.
Someone mentioned it is taken out on the 15th of every month so am i correct in thinking i put my DD details in and it is taken out on the 15th of the month and then on that same date every other month or is it taken out straight away.

DD is one of the few financial instruments that operate in the customer's favour. If anything goes wrong just inform your bank and they will refund the money to your account and sort out the problem with the ISP (or whoever). Much better than using a credit card continuous authority that is open to abuse.
Reason: DD is so much cheaper for the banks to operate (everything is automated) that they guarantee to act for the customer so as to get everyone to switch to this method of payment. You may have noticed that some organisations offer a discount to people that sign up for payment by DD. Maybe it is cheaper for them too.
For your next campaign see if you can persuade ADSL24 to offer a discount for DD
I am closing this thread now as the security certificate has been updated.
