View Full Version : Check Your Direct Debit details
Guys, check your DD/Payment details, apparently they dont transfer them over to Murphx so your bill will go unpaid if you haven't done it yourself.
Cant remember being informed of this, in fact, I vaguely remember being told that all I needed to do was change my login on the router on the switchover date.

I think you have to make first payment by card then set up DD after that, at least the first ones did.........:cool:
Of course you will need to setup a new direct debit instruction.
They can't be transferred as the are an arrangement between your bank and a particular company. Previously you were paying Entanet, and now you will be paying ADSL24 directly.

As Extermin8or says you need to make you first payment by some means (Card/paypal etc) and then when service is live you need to setup the new DD instruction, and then cancel the Entanet one.
Although James was letting some setup DD's straight away, even for initial payment, but not sure if that is still possible.
Yeah, I set up my new DD and it returned a bill of £55.00 (as opposed to the usual £16) but this will not come off my account till the end of next month.
Ahh well ... but what if I want to change providers in the meantime?

The higher amount is most likely to bring you in line with the new billing cycle,
that is mentioned in the other DD threads in the Murphx forum.

I just had an email from adsl24.Apparently the DD details already set up will have to be done again because they screwed it up (for everyone I assume),and they will take Aprils payment in May (April and May together)
Also,maestro is not acceptable for the first payment.That explains why my first payment bounced back,would have been nice to get that info before! :(

Yes, they said THEY would transfer it over but made some errors. Now they want 3 months off me in one go. As for it being on the forum. They should inform all customers not expect us to look for the errors in their system.
I've had a rubbish connection since the switch over and I don't see why I should except their errors.
I'm off to somewhere else.

the whole DD thing seems to be one big mess.
just tried setting mine up again and it will not accept all the digits of my account number !!!! Huh ????

I just re set up my dd, all went fine, ok, I am due to have 3 months taken in one hit, but I don't mind as I've left the money in the bank for each month that it wasn't taken.
Tbh, there was bound to be some glitches with this whole change over, and I'm sure it could have been a lot worse!!

Same here, re-set the DD as soon as I got the email, no problem. I hadn't even noticed it hadn't been paid until I got the email!
