Well its been a week after my so called switchover to Murphx but my Entanet connection is still alive and kicking. A new record perhaps :s

Trust me, I wouldn't moan about it. There are those of us which are now on Murphx which would give our right arm to be back on the stability and speed of Entanet.

Definitely not moaning about :) Just thought it was odd. I must be lucky for a change :D

Apologies, "moaning" was an unfortunate choice of word on my part. From my point of view you are definitely lucky. My connection has not been worth having since the changeover, see my post, "Intermittent Connection Problems and Horrendously Low Speeds" for details. Most of the time the new service feels like I'm back on dial-up.

Not everyone's having difficulty with MurphX.

Agreed. In fact I've noticed no difference at all in the changover from Enta to Murphx, I still get 800KB/s+ downloads and the speedtesters still show around 6.90Mb. Apart from a blip last week, all is well on my own connections.

Hope others get their issues resolved soon.

No still set up for Entanet. Will change it once the Entanet connection stops working. Speed test is fine.

I can't be 100% certain so please don't take this as gospel but I think you will be leaving yourself open to double billing if you don't change over on the date you were issued with. Obviously from ADSL24s point of view you should be paying them now as of your changeover date. If you are still using Entanet, I'm sure they will also want paying. The changeover process is not automatic and we were all clearly instructed to change our login details on a specific date. This is just my take on it, so please be careful just in case I turn out to be right.;)

I think I would be leaving myself open to double billing anyway as my Entanet is still live regardless of changing over login details to Murphx. I have seen Forum Members say their old connection was active up to 3 days. So 8 days is very unusual.

Yes 8 days is unusual. My connection on Entanet was dead within 24 hours of the changeover. I know this because I couldn't access Murphx the morning after the changeover and tried to get back into Entanet but failed.

Speed test is pretty much the same as Entanet but Youtube is practically unusable :(

I was still on EntaNet until around 8pm last night, when my my connection suddenly died and I was unable to reconnect.

In fact, I'd assumed there was going to be a delay in transferring to Murphx rather than the mid Feb/March period. I received an email from ADSL24 in early February saying they would be changing to Murphx, sometime over the next month, or so. But to wait for further detailed emails saying when and what settings (for the router).

An email confirming my changeover/migration date and router setting has yet to arrive.

I did however, receive an invoice for April from ADSL24, so I assumed that sometime in April the migration would take place, probably before the next billing period with EntaNET (13th of the month)

After thoroughly testing both my line and router this morning and finding they were both functioning correctly. I phoned ADSL24 technical support, to ascertain whether or not an outage had commenced around 8pm yesterday. Still under the impression that the Murphx migration had been delayed until April

It was they who informed me that I had in fact been migrated to Murphx already, which explained why I'd suddenly and then was seemingly permanently dropped by EntaNET. They also said a confirmation email had been sent to my alternative email address on the 29th - but as I've said I've yet to receive it; they sent it to the right address and it's not sitting in the junk/spam folder - I checked. They gave me the router settings over the phone.

What is a little odd though, I've apparently been connected to EntaNET several days after EntaNET ceased to be my ADSL24 provider. Admittedly I usually stay 'always-on' and rarely turn off the router - I had been connected for 54 days up until last night.

Surely, during a page refresh moments after I'd been migrated to Murphx should've caused the EntaNET connection to die: rather than several days later!

I think those with more knowledge than me would advise you to give it 3 days and your speeds should then pick up.

I suspect that Entanet would have to physically block you from their network by removing your password and user name permissions. I know when I changed over to Murphx my Entanet account was blocked within 12 hours of the migration.
