Hey there,

Was just wondering what the recommended MTU Setting (up to 1500) is for MurphX customers?

Ping testing and finding the best MTU value for your connection is the most accurate way as there is often some variation between different connections.

But here's a couple of the threads on the subject of MTU values with MurphX :)

It is indeed the best way, and that is also true - I did post in that one Sherlock.. :p Haha.. Just bought a new Belkin router recently (yesterday to be precise) and the MTU values I keep setting all seem to give a lot of random 404 errors then pressing F5 loads it straight away again so knew it was an MTU setting issue..

Thanks though. :)

If only Holmes had access to a forum search engine ... :p

An MTU 1478 still works perfectly for me, but the usual YMMV applies.

It might be a bit of a pain but probably worth retesting to find the highest MTU value before getting packet loss.

Indeed, thanks Holmes.. ;) Haha.

Just about to set it to 1478 and give that another go with this new router..
