At his request a note for JAMES. Since joining the new 'Provider' my Connection Speed has SLOWLY DECREASED from 4.6mb(under ENTANET) to 3.616mb, it has been at this speed exactly( 3.616mb) for nearly 4weeks now and shows NO SIGN of increasing. Would you please explain why and when do you see my speeds again matching those of ENTANETS? or has my connection speed been capped!

i think what you will find is that your router has synced at 3.6mb when you got switched. Have you tried reboting the router?
It is best to do this early in the morning to get the higher sync speed.

There are so many factors involved that determine speed. It's unlikely to be anything to do with the change, more likely a profile issue or your speed to the exchange has decreased (not related to the ISP you are with)

Can you post us both your ADSL line stats plus a result from the BT speedtest and we'll be able to advise...

Thanks guys for info. Will first reset router to see if this solves the speed issue. If not....where do I get my ADSL LINE STATS FROM??

Its a poorer service Imo.

My connection speeds are down a full meg. With the frequent disconnects that are now happening, my speed has gone down on occasions to 2 meg less than I was getting on ADSL24 Enta.

Instead of posting this on the forum why don't you phone support or raise a ticket and actually listen to what they say? These forums aren't official support so stop trolling around these people looking for genuine help.

I have. Guess what response one gets.

As for trolling, you'd know all about that, dont you. You're quite an expert at it.

The connection between your house and the exchange is the same irrespective of which ISP you're with. The switch to murphx is not going to have caused your router to resync more frequently.
