Hi,

I've finally had enough of PIPEX  (they used to be good but they've deteriorated dramatically these past 12 months in my eyes) and am looking elsewhere. MAC code should be here on Thursday...

As you've guessed I've spotted ADSL24 and judging from reviews (from a service side and from customer service), you look like the bees knees.

I currently have 1 Mbps ADSL however the signup page says my exchange (which is 2 km away) says I can handle 2Mbps or 7.5Mbps MAX. I'm not sure at what distance I should be looking at to decide between fixed speed and Max. Obviously I would be wanting a connection that zips along :D

Grateful for advice,

Cheers

Hi stevil.

If it says you can get 7.5Mb Max go for the 8 Mbps package! It's only the long, long lines that say under 2Mbps Max we suggest you go for fixed speed products. :)

Fantastic, thanks James. (I didn't know at what distance a line would be categorised as long).
