Hi i am seriously considering changing to this ISP, Tiscali have been absolutely awful lately and I'm paying subscriptions to online games I can't play during peak times, which is when I want to play because I work during the day time.

I am not sure whether or not to go for a fixed or a max package though, I got these stats from my router (Belkin) about my ADSL line.

Statistics Downstream Upstream
Line Rate 1152 Kbps 288 Kbps
Attainable Line Rate 5280 Kbps 1136 Kbps
Noise Margin 21.2 dB 27.0 dB
Line Attenuation 54.5 dB 31.5 dB
Output Power 11.9 dBm 17.8 dBm

I hope this helps, and I have to say it is refreshing to see a forum where I can ask this question BEFORE I commit to pay for a service.

Many thanks.

EDIT: Also I couldn't find anything about and FUP or AUP on the website, if there is one would online gaming effect it during peak times?

Hi Jamie.

We dont have a FUP as we don't need one :) The only restriction you have is the usage allowance you choose per month (package). The AUP is in the footer of our website :)

Your line is quite long but still a good one. You should get 3Mb or so on that :)

Thanks

One last question, how long does migration take and what sort of downtime should I expect is it in the region of hours or days or longer?(ok thats more than one question :D )

It takes 5-7 days from date of order/payment and the downtime is less than 10mins on the day normally.
