Hi all,

After 3 weeks of phone calls, emails and complaints, culminating in an email to the CEO of BT I've finally due to have my line reconnected after 3 weeks since moving into my flat. My question is, will this new number show up on the BT Checker straight away or will I have to wait x amount of days so that I can order broadband?

Oh well, the broadband withdrawl symptoms will have to continue a little longer ;)

Ah, minor change.

Just got off the phone to BT who confirmed my new number, turns out it's exactly the same as the chap who lived there previously. Is there any risk involved with ordering broadband on it straight away? The checker says it's ok

It sure was! Nicely.

Is that a guaranteed date? The 2 times I've connected with Pipex in the past *shudder* the first was 3 days late and the 2nd was 4 days early :|

As long as there are no BT issues, it's likely to be that day yes.

Really?? Good old BT.

Tip: Your bill date won't start until BT close the job on activation day usually ;)

Nor will any usage be monitored :)

Anyways, so now I'm on the 10 day training period right? And for that period I'm on 2 meg?

Your sync speed will fluctuate a lot during the 10 day training period, but is not limited to 2 Mbps.

I see, seems to be 2 at the mo but not too fussed whatever right now. Just had a nice night gaming with no disconnects and no distortion on ventrilo so we're already 4000 times better than Poopex :)
