Well my set activation day is on the 23rd May, on which I'll be leaving for a week to Protaras, Cyprus! Just wondering what the best thing to do would be.

At the moment I think the night before I go on my hols, I'll switch the router off and leave it till I come back..

However, I see that on activation day there is a 10 day training period. Would this matter at all? Will it affect my speeds when I get back from holiday? Or will it just be the norm.

Thanks, & looking forward to joining ADSL24 :)!

The training period starts the "first time" your router connects up to us. So if you leave it off from the night before til you come home, the training won't start 'til when you return and turn the router on.

I'd rather you changed the login details on the router the night before, and leave the router on and plugged in while you are away though to avoid any BT system mishaps thinking your line is dodgy...

Won't that cause a stuck profile? I'll do that anyhow, so night before (Tuesday) I'll just change my router settings to connect to ADSL24 and then save them settings and leave it on?

No. The stuck profile is only if you are connected to the line when the migration takes place (on the day). If you plug the router in a week later it should not be stuck.

But yes, if you do leave it on the stuck profile could happen - so it's up to you :)

Fair play, what would you advise me to do then? As I see you've stated that the stuck profile could happen however if I don't my training period won't begin till I get back..

In this particlar case, I would leave the router off, turn it on when you get home and that should be it :)

The training period will commence and the profile should be normal...
