Voice over IP

We are pleased to announce the availability of our Voice over IP products which are available to both new and existing customers. If you already subscribe to our broadband service, we are able to combine both your ADSL and VoIP bills on to the same account thus offering the same bill date for both services each month.

ADSL24 VoIP is a revolutionary telephony service, suitable for both business and residential users and delivers phone calls over a broadband connnection but behaves like a traditional telephone service, reducing the cost of calling. This service provides free calls to other ADSL24 VoIP customers, the ADSL24 sales and support team, Entanet support and reduced call rates to local, national, international and mobile destinations.

Our infrastructure is based on Cisco Powered Technology which enables us to offer our services to a broad range of customers from residential and SoHo users right up to large enterprises.

Express

Ideally suited to single user customers, VoIP Express is a hosted service available on a pre-pay basis. It boasts a number of key features that enable you to enjoy the benefits of VoIP over and above those they might get from smaller mainstream products aimed at residential markets.

Our platform

By using a fully hosted Centrex service, VoIP enables customers to deploy a flexible telephone system without the costs normally associated with an on-site PBX system. Calls can be made using existing telephone hardware by using ATAs (Analogue Terminal Adapters), by replacing the handsets with IP telephones or using a software phone.

Using a broadband connection, VoIP negates the need for multiple PSTN or ISDN telephone lines usually required for traditional PBX systems. It also provides the flexibility to scale up the number of users swiftly and enables existing BT telephone numbers to be ported over to the account.

How does it work?

Quite simply, you use your broadband line to make and receive regular calls to any number worldwide. You can either run a software application on your PC as the VoIP client, from where you can make your calls from your computer (similar to a "Skype" type service), or purchase a router which has built-in VoIP ports, an IP phone which plugs in to an ethernet port on your existing router, or use an ATA (Analogue Terminal Adapter) which plugs into your router and a standard phone which can then be used to make/receive calls over your broadband line.

Calls are billed by second and rounded up to the nearest penny.
No minimum call charges.
No connection charges.
Peak is 8am-6pm Mon-Fri and Off-peak is 6pm-8am Mon - Fri.
Weekend is defined as any period outside the peak and off-peak times above.
The changeband of the time a call starts applies to the duration of the whole call.
